The Great Gatsby

set design, 2018.

The faithful Simon Levy theatrical adaptation of that glimmering / sputtering romance of the Jazz Age is reimagined inside an empty, abandoned pool.

A monumental waste of space, at once a symbol of society's excess, the private place to an opulent house, it is also a testament to lost dreams, tiles gleaming with the hope that in some past or future the pool is filled, the space public, and people come across race and class to bathe together.
